Remote Well Head Management System :: Purestream Tracker provides answers to what is becoming an increasing necessity in the oil and gas production industry...real-time, well head data information gathering, monitoring and reporting.
In response to this industry challenge, Radar sensors installed in well head storage tanks record levels of product and waste water – monitoring both accumulation and depletion. Additional sensors can be installed to measure pressure; temperature; flow-rates and vibration as required. Data from these sensors is sent via satellite bursts to an Online Interface Terminal (OIT) and from there is available online to authorized users. Use of satellite communication assures that all wells are in range regardless of location in the field or difficulty of terrain — and that installation costs are kept low. TRACKER is designed and implemented as a customizable solution tailored to fit the needs of each particular client – three main configurations are available for adaptation:
Using data transmitted via satellite to the OIT, TRACKER provides real-time monitoring of well heads, tanks and other apparatus via a user-friendly, web-based, geospatial interface. This interface presents the user with an overall status map display at a glance as well as detailed historical data for each wellhead in the map area chosen. The OIT displays the data and allows for critical systems and process alarms in customized parameters (i.e. tank overflowing, valve not functioning). Because actual tank levels are reported rather than just alarm parameters – leaks, spillages and thefts from storage tanks become more readily identifiable – important factors in an increasingly cost sensitive and environmentally conscious world. TRACKER also has the ability to monitor access to the well head tanks and other apparatus via on-site keypad authentication. By keeping a record of all authorized transactions at the well head, TRACKER keypad authentication provides an added layer of security to the site. Well head safety is also improved because the inbuilt tank monitoring eliminates the need to expose personnel to slip and fall hazards and potentially deadly H2S when accessing tanks. Finally, where production to disposal verification is desired, TRACKER< provides a complete chain of custody tracking. From production levels, to who off-loaded product or waste from the well head, to when and where they finally disposed of or delivered the product or waste can be securely and remotely recorded, ensuring complete accountability and verification. |
