Air Quality and Renewable Energy

From the beginning, Purestream has been conscious of the challenges producers face from new water and air regulations and has focused on creating and deploying state-of-the-art technologies to provide more cost-effective mitigation strategies.

Regulation of emissions from oil and gas operations is growing more stringent every year. New strict standards can be extremely challenging for operators from both a technical and economic standpoint. Purestream advanced systems and solutions enable producers to utilize sound strategies to reduce air emissions in a variety of ways to meet their unique needs. Our air emission reduction solutions include:
- The AVARA system captures vented or flared gas to utilize as a fuel source for our systems.
- Our TrilogyZAP may be operated utilizing waste heat from alternative power sources or internal burners.
- A thermal oxidizer can be integrated into some configurations — 99% of the VOCs and pollutants are destroyed and removed. The BTU’s produced in the thermal oxidization process can then be recycled for use in our ZAP evaporative process.
- Our equipment can utilize flared or vented gas to create a more thermally efficient power source for deployed water systems.
- We can co-locate our equipment near an existing compressor station, utilizing exhaust as an additional power source for water treatment processes.
- Our systems can recapture sour gas/b-valve gas as additional energy source for operational systems.
- Because Purestream solutions are deployed at or near the well head, trucking is dramatically reduced. This greatly minimizes road dust, NOx, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, VOCs and other particulate matter related to transporting wastewater.
- VOC emissions and other pollutants related to evaporation ponds and pits are reduced because Purestream solutions treat wastewater at or near the well head.
