Purestream Technology Deploys Second Water Treatment Pilot in Alberta

Strathmore, Alberta Jan. 31, 2012
Purestream Technology successfully initiated a pilot project in Strathmore, Alberta using its AVARA System to treat produced water from oil and gas operations in the Manville Sandstones of Southern Saskatchewan. Purestream is demonstrating its ability to treat and recycle water for potential future use in enhanced gas recovery in the Manville and for hydraulic fracturing in the Saskatchewan portion of the Bakken Shale. In November, Purestream signed a commercial contract with Whiting Petroleum to recycle water from its Bakken operations in North Dakota.

Purestream Technology Contracted to Treat Bakken Frac Water

Mountrail County, ND Nov. 2, 2011
Purestream Technology has been contracted by Whiting Oil and Gas Corporation for a water treatment project for its Williston Basin operations in North Dakota to treat their produced water for reuse. The commercial unit will treat 2,000 barrels of flowback water daily, returning clean finished water for continued use in their fracing operations.
